High Crag, High Stile & Red Pike
A sunny Bank Holiday Monday , wonder of wonders. Having convinced ourselves that Striding Edge would be like the M25 at rush hour, we zipped up the Newlands Valley to Buttermere and walk the spectacular ridge incorporating High Crag, High Stile & Red Pike. The guidebook said 5.5 miles; I think not! Eight to ten would be more like it. The descent off Red Pike was a bit slithery but what views!
Sunday in the Lakes
After a disrupted journey we were able to relax on Sunday with church followed by a walk along the lake. Later that day after cycling back to the caravan I took the opportunity whilst Lynn was resting, to take a run up Blecathra via Sharp Edge, which was great fun but a long run!

Farm sitting
This week Lynn & I are looking after Pitt Farm for our friends Pete & Sue who are on holiday. Duties consist of feeding pigs, goats and hens; servicing the swimming pool; and looking after guests on the holiday cottages. Great fun.

Sunday afternoon with the Durdin clan
The end of a busy week had arrived and a lovely way to spend it was on a sunny walk from Topsham to Exton. Little legs had had enough so jumped on the train for the short journey back.

Mustard Seed Walk - Saturday 14th May 2016
Lovely walk today on Dartmoor with Andy Conley & Chris Bishop. We parked at Princetown and walked to Hart Tor, up the aqueduct and along Devonport Leat right around to the Leat tunnel, then on the Nun's. cross and back to Princetown via South Hesary Tor.
